a remake of doom2’s map07 for doom 1. the zipfile includes two maps, “oldversion” is rather small and dark metal, “deadeasy” is a bit bigger and brighter stone. each has their advantages, maybe one day i’ll release some final combination of the two but map07 remakes are really a-dime-a-dozen
a weekend speedmapping exercise i co-ordinated, participated in and released in mid-2009 with other members of doomworld forums
my personal favorite is solarn’s map07 remake. check the green herring’s speedruns of these maps, including a cool 20-second sequence break of my map01
a map based on system shock level 1’s healing suite and gamma quadrant. this was intended to be a simply-styled map while i took a break from making some other more detailed level. as such i bashed it out in just a few days
a couple of people liked it, however the ttlg forums lamented my lack of sloped floors and use of doom textures, and my /newstuff review chided my lack of texture variation and pointless boom-feature addition. oh well.
